Who doesn’t love hydrated, moisturized skin? I know I do! When the temperature drops, my skin turns into a dry, flaky mess! So I was especially thrilled when a box of full-sized Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration face care products arrived on my doorstep…just in the nick of time!
Did I mention they were free? (More on that later…)
You would think it was Christmas the way I ripped open that box eagerly anticipating happy, glowing skin!
Before receiving the products, all I knew was that they were proven to intensely hydrate dry skin due to the addition of a botanical powerhouse, clary sage, a plant that thrives in harsh environments because of it’s ability to trap moisture.
During the colder months, my skin can be categorized as a “harsh environment”, so I was excited to see what this clary sage would do to my skin!
Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration Face Care Line
First up was the Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser. After a long day at work, I was ready to treat my face to some much needed pampering. That evening, I used it for the first time. Not only did it remove my makeup beautifully, but it helped remove some flaky skin on my chin & on the sides of my nose as well.
Jack Frost was no longer nipping at my nose…and I was thrilled!
I followed it with Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration Night Cream. The next morning as I looked into the mirror, I noticed something different. The dry skin that usually plagues me was nowhere to be found! I couldn’t believe my eyes! Usually I want to avoid the mirror because I know that pesky flaky skin will be staring right back at me with a mischievous grin…but not this time! {Happy dance ensued…}
Before applying my makeup for the day, I started off with Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration Day Lotion. Usually putting on makeup is a battle with my dry skin. Makeup and dry skin is just a bad combination. Not only does it make the flaky skin look more obvious, but it looks just plain scary! (Well, for me anyways…) But not anymore! Makeup went on easily and beautifully. I looked great & was ready to conquer the day!
That evening I decided to try the Burt’s Bees® Intense Hydration Treatment Mask. After leaving it on for 10 minutes, I removed it with a tissue and was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of my skin. My pores looked smaller and my skin just looked fresher.

I’ve been using these products every day now for about a month, and I must say…I am SOLD! My skin is much improved, and I am so happy with the outcome. And sorry…I’m not brave enough to show a before & after…I don’t want to scare you (with the before photo, that is…)
Did I mention the refreshing, pleasant scent? It’s quite lovely!

A few months ago, I started participating in online surveys as a fun side gig. They didn’t pay much, but every little bit helps. Then one day, I came across www.bzzagent.com.
When you sign up with BzzAgent, you get to test out new products for free and “bzz” about them through word of mouth or social media.
Initially, there are a series of surveys to fill out that are geared to find out what you’re into…from products you use to stores you shop at to restaurants you enjoy.
Once you complete the surveys, if your interests match up with a product that needs testing, you will be notified, and you can either accept or decline the “campaign”. They will then send you the product to test out in addition to samples to distribute to friends & family. It’s so exciting when that box arrives!
After you try it out, the next part of your gig is to “bzz” about the product. Spread the word, tell your friends, hand out the free samples, “Like” it on Facebook, tweet or blog about it or write reviews on www.bzzagent.com. It’s up to you, and all they ask of you is for your honest opinion.
So far, I haven’t tested a product I didn’t like, so it’s easy to spread the word.
