 It has been over two months since I left my full time job…

and it was the best decision I ever made.

It took me over 2.5 years to realize that even in a down economy, I did not deserve to be in a toxic work environment where yelling, cursing and belittling was commonplace.  I dealt with it, tried to stay positive, reminded myself to toughen up and be thankful that I even had a job in this time of high unemployment, and I even started this blog to bring me happiness.

Being in Hawaii this past May and experiencing the beauty of the island and warmth of the people helped renew my spirit and awaken my soul.  After returning from Hawaii, I knew it was time for a positive change, and my husband lovingly gave me his blessing to put the plan in motion.  After 3 more months, I finally gave myself permission to be happy, take a leap of faith and move on to greener pastures.

Today, I am a freelancer and finally feel like myself again.  Working for myself is very challenging, but it’s soooo worth it!  I may not make as much as I used to or have all the benefits of a full time job, but I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time…and you can’t put a price on that!
