The Space Needle is something everyone should experience at least once!
Built for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, this iconic landmark boasts stunning 360° views of Puget Sound, the downtown skyline and the surrounding mountains, SkyCity, the world-famous rotating restaurant, an abundance of informational displays and telescopes, and exciting 10 mph elevator rides to the observation deck at the top.
Last week, my family and I met in Seattle for three fun-filled days. We all agreed that the highlight was experiencing the breathtaking panoramic views 520 feet high above the Emerald City…
…and what a view it was!
For around $20.00 per person, you too can take in the splendor of this wonderful city!
Oooo… in that last photo it looks like the cruise ship that deposited us there – nice – we LOVE Seattle and also swapped long queues and money for the opportunity to ride to the top! 🙂
Awesome! It was SO worth the long queues and the money 🙂 Did you go on an Alaskan cruise?
We certainly did and LOVED it – and hope to do it again one day – have you been?
We’ve never been, but it’s definitely on our bucket list! 🙂
Hope you get there sooner rather than later! 🙂
I really regret not going up into the Space Needle when Marty and I were in Seattle. We both plan on visiting again one day so I hope we are able to get up there next time! 🙂
You’ll love it! I went to Seattle 10 years ago, but due to time restraints, I didn’t get to experience the Space Needle. So this time around, I made sure we carved out some time to check out the views! 😉
Seattle is one of the greatest cities in the United States! The pacific northwest is just stunningly beautiful.
I agree! Next time, I want to travel the coastline north of Seattle 🙂
I’ve traveled the Oregon Coast, it’s amazing! But I bet Seattle up to Vancouver would be incredible.
