Veggie Burger Bliss?
Why, yes!
Last year I decided to start increasing my intake of veggies and raw food and cutting back on meat because so many people I know were raving about the effects it was having on their health, appearance and emotional well being.
So I was thrilled when Bzzagent.com invited me to try MorningStar Farms Veggie Burgers and bzz about my experience.
First off, for those of you who are new to Bzzagent.com, pull up a chair & check out my last review that goes into detail on what is involved in being a Bzzagent…and why it’s a blast!
When I got the invitation to try these veggie burgers, I was so excited because I’m already a huge fan of meatless burgers and was curious about the MorningStar Farms brand.
In the mail I received a coupon for a free package of MorningStar Farm Veggie Burgers along with a few $1.00 off coupons.
As I stood in the frozen food aisle at the grocery store, my taste buds came alive by all of the delicious options!
Talk about tough decision!
Before me were mouth watering choices from Black Bean to Chick Pea to Mushroom Lover’s to the original Garden Veggie Patties, which is what I left the store with.
Even the packaging looks quite tasty!
What does a Garden Veggie Patty consist of?
It’s a yummy, hearty blend of mushrooms, water chestnuts, onion, carrots, green and red bell peppers, black olives, brown rice and rolled oats.
Ok so let’s get right to it.
Drum roll please…
Can we say YUM?!
(This was the last sighting of the burger…)
Quickly piled onto my burgers (OK, yes, I HAD 2!) were the Garden Veggie Pattie, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and avocado.
In my opinion, the veggie patty was surprisingly tastier than a meat patty, and it had the texture of a regular burger. And here’s another MAJOR bonus: There’s 74% less fat than ground beef burgers and it’s only 110 tiny calories!
SCORE!
My tummy was quite content after devouring the burgers, and my meat-eating husband enjoyed them too!
Whether you’re a meat lover or veggie lover, give these veggie burgers a try!
I give them two thumbs veggie patties up!
Thanks to BzzAgent for including me in this delicious campaign!
MS’s spicy black bean burgers are my favorite. And I am not a vegetarian!
I’m trying the black bean burgers next!! 🙂
