We traveled through Death Valley in our (metal) trailer a couple of Junes ago. it was 114 degrees and uncomfortable to be walking to viewpoints. But when we got to them, it was worth it- stunning landscape unlike anywhere else. Thanks for sharing!
Yikes!!! 114 degrees!!! We didn’t get the “real” Death Valley experience since we went in January. The temperature was cool and pleasant, but I agree, heat or no heat, it’s definitely worth a visit! 🙂
Spending time in Fort Irwin taught me that the desert is unforgiving , but the desert is beautiful in it’s own way , wide open space , you can see forever .
I enjoy traveling thru the desert , it’s like being back in the old west , somethings havent changed for hundreds of years . Just don’t do it in July to
September , if you don’t like the heat.
Hi TK! Thanks for dropping by! The desert really is something to behold, and it’s so true about feeling like you’re back in the old west! Sometimes I swear I think I see Clint Eastwood in his signature poncho riding through the desert! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
My name is Jen, & I'm on a journey to fill my passport with everything that brings joy to my life – from family to travel to fulfilling my dreams…and so much more!
Why limit your passport to traveling alone? I say fill your passport with bliss... whatever your bliss may be!

I was horrified… because it was only JUNE! I can’t imagine what late August is like! 🙂
