Norfolk, Virginia (home of the the world’s largest naval base), wasn’t the place I thought I’d find beauty like this…and in someone’s backyard for that matter!  On our journey back east two weeks ago, Virginia was our third stop after visiting New York and Washington D.C.  Little did I know that I would fall in love with this gorgeous state!  In the backyard of a mutual friend’s house was a large lake, a canoe, reflections to die for, tranquility and views that inspired me in so many ways.   This is why I love traveling…finding those hidden gems in places you just didn’t expect!
